Dr. Palaniappan Manickam or Dr Pal the name which is widely famous on Social Media. This Youtube Rockstar is a Gastroenterologist by profession and a standup comedian by passion. He is the creator of MEDCOM, a unique stand-up comedy shows that combines medical knowledge with abundance humor.
This legend was born in Madurai, India and he completed his MBBS in PSG medical college, Coimbatore. He did master’s in public health in Boston. Following which, he completed his M.D general medicine at Wayne state University, Detroit. He further specialized in Gastroenterology and nutrition. He lives with his wife Priya and two kids - Arjun and Atharva and is practicing in Sacramento, California.
Dr. Pal started doing standup comedy since 2018, after seeing positive impact on his patients’ health whom diligently following his youtube channel.
He uses his medical knowledge to create jokes that are both funny and educational. He also talks about his own experiences as a doctor, which provides audiences with a unique perspective on the medical world. So far, he has conducted more than 100 shows across the US and India.
